Let's start with the basics.
But get ready because I'm going to take you for the full ride (it'll be fun, I promise)!
My background is Human Resources and Child Psychology, with an emphasis in counseling.
I spent years running a small non-profit after-school program.
My mornings consisted of paperwork and meetings, and my afternoons were spent helping children from Kindergarten to 8th Grade with homework and stimulating extracurricular educational activities.
During that time, my husband and I started to develop our plan for educating our future children.
In the end, we chose to homeschool because we felt it gave our family the chance to create a positive, enriching learning environment.
However, it was so TIME CONSUMING trying to educate myself on anything homeschool. I had to go through so many resources trying to find information or curriculum help.
THE UPHILL BATTLE CONTINUED...
As we struggled to conceive. We were both told we are healthy, and no tests showed any issues, but either way we struggled.
It was a difficult time.
To help with my frustrations, I started to create curriculum (I am definitely a planner and less stressed when my hands stay busy).
I used my experience in education to focus on objectives by grade level for the printables.
I also took notes and kept information on things I learned through my experience and from other homeschool mamas.
And since I am an oversharer, I let my mom friends try out my printables (both homeschoolers and public-schoolers).
They loved everything. They raved that my tips and resources were on the money and fit perfectly into their lives.
THAT WAS WHEN THE IDEA FOR BUDDING MAMA WAS BORN!
I decided I would love to help mamas like you start your journey or build on your current journey.
The goal is to make all the frustrations commonly experienced by new homeschoolers nonexistent and to save you TIME!
